We loved the convenient location but were disappointed that the BW Dry Creek Inn stopped providing breakfast. The room was large but in need of update. We had hoped to take advantage of the pool but the weather failed to cooperate. Luckily, the restaurant next door, Adele’s, saved the day for us.

It’s an adequate Best Western at Sonoma prices. If I’d paid $100/night I’d give it 4 stars. But for over $300? I get it. They can charge that much in that area. (FYI, I could have saved $100/night if I hadn’t booked ahead. )The sound proofing is lacking. All the doors are exterior. The cleaning product smell gave me a headache. The beds had a weird metallic squeak and the fridge made a very non-fridge thunk sound. It’s one of those noisy a/c units on a wall thermostat, but the fan only setting made a really weird sound so it was either turn it off or have a/c cycling on and off all night. The bathroom counter is a good size, but it was hard to avoid getting water all over the place when you washed your face. There is no breakfast but at least a mini-Keurig in the room. That said, the staff was friendly. The beds were reasonably comfortable. We walked to Healdsburg plaza one night and it was about 20 minutes. The pool was small but decent.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is in a very convenient location. The bad: 1) Upon getting into bed, I discovered a flea (tick?) on the linens. Pulled back all linens in fear it was bed bugs but didn't find any others. But still, gross.2) Due to lack of insulation, I was kept awake most of the night by what sounded like a three-some in the room next door, and then again at o'dark thirty by Stompy McStomperson upstairs, continuing for over 2 hours. 3) The shower faucet didn't work, so I couldn't use either the shower or bath. When I complained they refunded me $40, which seemed... stingy. In the conversation, I learned that they'd recently "upgraded" all bathrooms with new faucets and that mine likely wasn't "adjusted correctly." Right.... All in all, if price is a consideration, this is likely your best option in Healdsburg. But expect more than a few unpleasant surprises if you are forced to stay here.
