The grounds, staff, and amenities exceeded my expectation for a 3-star hotel. Families - two pools! Normal-sized pool towels! Spacious rooms, friendly staff, and very well kept grounds. A great cafe across the street and a river walk within walking distance. We were using it as a stay over after a day at the river (Guerneville) and we are happy we did - it was a great value and easy to get to from San Francisco.

Room was quite nice. The hotel is currently being renovated and appears abandoned from the street. If you pursue it, you will find a very decent hotel and staff. Even the room we used had not yet been redone and was comfortable. I would look forward to the new rooms when ready.

The only good thing about this hotel is that it is in a very convenient location. The bad: 1) Upon getting into bed, I discovered a flea (tick?) on the linens. Pulled back all linens in fear it was bed bugs but didn't find any others. But still, gross.2) Due to lack of insulation, I was kept awake most of the night by what sounded like a three-some in the room next door, and then again at o'dark thirty by Stompy McStomperson upstairs, continuing for over 2 hours. 3) The shower faucet didn't work, so I couldn't use either the shower or bath. When I complained they refunded me $40, which seemed... stingy. In the conversation, I learned that they'd recently "upgraded" all bathrooms with new faucets and that mine likely wasn't "adjusted correctly." Right.... All in all, if price is a consideration, this is likely your best option in Healdsburg. But expect more than a few unpleasant surprises if you are forced to stay here.
