January heats up in Northern Sonoma County along the famous Wine Road during the 2016 WinterWINEland. Dozens of Healdsburg wineries open their doors in mid-January for a weekend full of tastings, shopping and fun. This annual event is a great way to meet local winemakers, sip brand new productions and taste vintages from the collections of some of California's most popular vineyards. You can travel from winery to winery, creating your own itinerary to explore.
Each winery will offer special savings on certain products, so you can go home with a souvenir to savor during the winter. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, January 16 and 17 from 11 am to 4 pm, tickets for the whole weekend start at $52. If you want to attend only on Sunday, the cost is $40.95.
