2016 Cooking for Solutions on the Road by Monterrey Bay Aquarium

This annual celebration of sustainable seafood is hosted by Monterrey Bay Aquarium and benefits the efforts of ocean-friendly organization Seafood Watch.

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, it all kicks off with a Taste of Healdsburg at Jordan Winery. This groundbreaking culinary destination and eco-friendly winery is hosting leading chefs from Healdsburg and beyond who are committed to cooking delicious and sustainable cuisine. Chefs from around the region will gather to create a locally raised feast in an elegant atmosphere that the winery is known for. The ocean-friendly meal includes plenty of wild seafood and regional cuisine from Sonoma County. During the strolling reception, you can wander from table to table chatting up the chefs, sampling vintages from Jordan Winery and joining in on cooking demonstrations.

On Sunday, February 28, 2016, the event concludes with a Warming Wintertime Lunch and conversation at SHED in Healdsburg. Presenting the best of Healdsburg local farming culture, SHED is an award-winning restaurant. Join this lively talk about fishing and where the culture of food is heading in the future. Afterwards, chef Perry Hoffman of SHED will be crafting a bountiful menu with a focus on locally-grown produce and sustainable seafood.

It all takes place on the weekend of February 27 and 28, and you can buy tickets for each event separately or make it a full weekend with tickets going for $225. Both events are just minutes from our lovely wine country hotel in Healdsburg.
